As I reached out to one of the most inspiring bookstagrammers, I was excited to know more about her captivating journey. I was in awe as she shared her love for books, her community, and how it all came together. The way she paints her passion for reading with her words is mesmerizing. As she shared her life-changing moments and her experiences as an influencer, I got to understand that life is all about embracing your unique journey.

Hailey, also known as @wearecurrentlyreading, is a passionate reader and influencer whose love for books runs deep. She believes that books can take us places and give us experiences we never thought possible. Her childhood was filled with books like Nancy Drew, Harry Potter, and Inkheart, which transported her to a world of thrill and adventure. This love for reading continued through her teenage years as she delved into paranormal, romantic thrillers. But she never lost her love for fantastical stories, and it carried over into adulthood.

As an adult, she rekindled her love for reading and found herself longing for a community of fellow book lovers. Thus, @wearecurrentlyreading was born, and her journey as an influencer began. She started her Bookstagram account during the pandemic, hoping to find a connection with her fellow bookworms. Through the support and enthusiasm of her community, her reading journey has hit an all-time high. She has made amazing friends, discovered new books, and authors that she loves, and is proud to be a reader.

Hails shared an inspiring life-changing moment when she attended a book signing event alone, thanks to her love for the books of the author Katee Robert. She almost didn't attend due to her social anxiety. However, by attending, she met a few readers forming a book club that has become a strong local community of PNW readers. From there, an amazing friendship with Elena (@elenaspnwlibrary) was formed, leading them to create a podcast called Utterly Unhinged, moderating author panels, and attending virtual book clubs, among other things.

In terms of negative feedback, the influencer seldom receives criticism and negativity; however, when they do, they use it as a learning experience to make the changes needed to create a safe and supportive environment for their followers.

Her mantra in life revolves around being kind to others and treating others how you want to be treated. Being true to yourself is essential and focusing on building your own journey is vital. It's so easy to fall into the trap of comparing oneself to others, which can lead to losing joy and passion. Creating content that makes her feel fulfilled, posting about books that she genuinely loves, and embracing her uniqueness in the community are what make her stand out.

Lastly, when asked what book she would take on a solo backpacking trip, she chose one of the Harry Potter books. In her words, she would want something nostalgic and comforting, but still, something that would keep her connected to the world of books.

Hails's journey is one of inspiration, courage, and authenticity. It shows that by embracing who you are and staying true to yourself, you can build a community of like-minded individuals. Her passion for books has not only given her joy and fulfillment but has paved the way for her to meet amazing people who have become an integral part of her journey.
